kidna dumbe but my car wont start.

my car wont start and i cant figure out why.. my tach has been acting a lil wierd and it would kinda flutter while driving.... even when the key is turned off i can sit and watch it bounce about 2mm every few seconds.. i cant figure whats going on. the car woouldnt start yesterday. but after it cooled down i went back to it and it started. today i drove the car on a short 45 minute trip on the highway to buy my FCD.. put it on and drove back. car had great boost all 8 pounds of it. it idled fine before i turned it off i let it sit for about 2 minutes just so my turbo could cool down.. went to start it up again and it wouldnt turn over beyond the starter....... i just bought this t2 2 weeks ago . im so dissappointed.. any input.. what is the charteristic of bad coils.. and how do i check.. give me some input peoples.. my mind is about to blow an apex seal.....

I can think of a few possibilities.

1: try pulling the plugs, cleaning them up, and replacing them. It's possible that your car is flooded. MAKE SURE all connections are proper.

If you haven't, it's probably a good idea to redo the grounds on the car. The stock ones are crap.

It's also possible your trailing coil is dying. Try pulling the connector on the trailing coil (its the coil pack closest to the firewall) and seeing if it changes how the car runs. My car was running like CRAP, misfiring, backfiring, etc, and I pulled it and it ran perfect. Replaced the coil and all is good.

well the car will barely start now and when it does is sounds like just half the engine is running i did a compression test both rotors are ok.. 95 in the fron 65 in the back (i know thats not good but thats not the problem right now) so it sounds like half the car si running right now. thats if i can barely get it to start up.. i drove the car yesterday.. worked great.. went to start it up 2 minutes later.. it wouldnt work.. so what do you guys think.. a half running engine???? oh and i switched my injectors around i.e. primary first housing to secondary second housing...

I would think 95 front, 65 rear has a lot to do with your problems...If you have an inductive timing light, use it to verify spark on the plug wires (while running, of course)...If one coil is out on the trailing, it'll be easy enough to figure it out with the timing light...Don't have a light, use a small flourescent bulb to check the plug wires- hold it next to the wire, if it has juice the bulb will flicker (somewhat dimly, needs to be fairly dark to see it)...And like TERRH said, check & clean the grounds, especially the leading & trailing coil packs' ground to the body (if the nuts/ bolts attaching the coils to the body are all dirty & corroded, that'll be a good place to start)
