Here is the install of the keyless entry security pad concealed in the console. It allows for power to flow to the switch panel the haltech and the starter.
I would like to thank Mark for assistance in wiring the relays that control the system (for security reasons the details of the wiring will not be covered in this thread, if you have a specific question reguarding the system I may answer that)

The first pic is the stock console
the second is the K1 keyless entry pad
The third is the slot cut into the console to allow the K1 to fit
and the fourth is the K1 installed in position

It sits flush with the top of the console before the lid is closed.

so what makes this system keyless dont you still have door locks? or are you just leaving your doors unlocked?

 

"keyless entry system" is a term used by the companies that produce these items. The doors are shaved so yes they will be unlocked (technically) and the key will still remain for distributing power to accesories and the switched power for the keyless pad.

 

so this is just a fancy way of starting your car not really a safety measure.

 

How is that not a safety measure? If you can crack my 13 digit code then you can start my car if you have the key in. I call that pretty damn safe.

 

OK maybe I need to explain this a bit better to aleviate the confusion.

First you push the button on the remote which pops the door
then you put the key in and turn it to on
open console enter code this allows power to the starter switch on the switch panel
then two more codes allow power to the switch panel and the Haltech
Then you can push the button to start the car

well what would stop people from jumpering the wires going in and out of the keypad. is the keypad held down with security screws or just standards? do you need a key to open your console? nothing is 100% secure just remember that. but in all im just bitching. way to go with making a different way in starting your car. A+

 

I supose you could if you knew what wires were what or you could find the relays, all the wires are 1 color and if you hook the wrong ones up it will fry the relays the car has an alarm also and (I will be a little vague here) I have other means of preventing the car from falling into the wrong hands

HEY JUICEH on a scale of 1 to 10 with 8 being IMPOSSIBLE how hard would it be to steel my car. (he knows most of the details of the security system)

 

1.... if you have a REPO truck... 10 if you actually plan on driving the stoken vehicle away.

Nothing is safe from the repo truck!!

Then again, even if someone has a repo truck and takes it, tinvestor will get it back..... Then its crowbar to the head time.

however if a forum member wants to steal your car now, all they have to remeber is to bring a few alagator clips to jump power to the haltech and to your starter relay. Thanks for letting us know ahead of time

Like I said not all the security measures have been listed and you will still need the key or remove the ignition cylinder and break into the house there is another alarm to defeat

 

If they want it badly enough, they'll get it.

 

I will just take the bitch with a flat bed and leave a note on some blocks for yo.

 

Thats the repo-truck approach.
If you really want to be safe, program something into the haltech that requires attatching a laptop to reconfigure it before the car runs.

How about like 3 buttons on the top so if you push the wrong one to open the armrest to get to the keypad, you get shocked like hell and the alarm goes off. lol

All this stuff would make it hard to go driving drunk huh.

 

Have you seen some of the threads for this car or seen how much money has gone into it? You would want as much security as possible too if you had dumped as much money into a car as tinvestor has. I believe he's planning on taking the car to shows and stuff. The more radical and unique the car is the better. I don't think there are too many cars even at shows that have touchpad security.

tow truck it, guy down in detroit got busted a few weeks ago for using a tow truck with a fake logo to steal cars. when they go to his place their were 140 stolen cars there!
i hope you have a level sensor atached to your alarm that will go off if someone starts to lift it up.

 

Yes the alarm has a level sensor and many many more sophisticated options. Yes it is about the attention the car will be receiving and being cautious to protect the time and money invested. Very very close to paranoia.
