Hey all, just to let you know I weighed my car today with half a tank of gas and my dual 10" sub box and I came in at 2607. I think that is pretty good and with a few weight reduction mods like alum hood and removed carpet I'll be in the 2500's no prob.

 

have you done any weight reduction yet? or is this with interior intact?

 

My '87 sport came in around 2,435 lbs when i took it on a truck scale, not sure how accurate it is, but that was with 1/4 tank of gas.

 

Low to mid 2400 is probably close for a Sport. My race car is obviously completely gutted, but has alot of cage to offset that. We are at about 2440 dry before we add driver and ballast to make our 2680 lb minimum.

no my interior is completely intact. With the number I'm putting out right now, I don't really no if it is necessary to gut it out. I would just like to see the Alum hood in the near future and go from there.
