Searching is your best friend. The miata trans thread is only back a page or to, search then ask. Most people are gonna be harsh about not searching just giving you a heads up.

Miata tranny is not going to be happy with 200 RWHP (240 flywheel). They have trouble with 170 RWHP.

Have FC...have Miata tranny...give competent shop $1,000 to do the work for you.

You will get zero increase in power.

If it did come with an LSD, it will be clutch-type.
No US-spec FC came with Torsen.

I agree with Ted, not possible. That comes from my own personal N/A experience.

Have you considered picking up a TII trans, ds, and rear end?

If not, then consider it.

Keep us updated on your progress.
I'd be really interested if you do break 200hp at the wheels.

the miata tranny is happy on racecars making ~ 240 at the flywheel. (and they are not babied when driven )
the 88 gxl has a clutch type rear end, which i would reccomend over the viscous. im having a HELL of a time getting ahold of one...got one?

i am lucky i have 3 very good salvage yards near me
(lots of fb and fc parts no tII's though)
i am interested in shorter gears i need to bridge a
hp gap on the track. having more gear options coming
out of a corner would be a plus. my friends all did the
turbo route (3 fd's between 350-500 hp and 2 fc's 400+hp)
its tough to hang with them.
