Just installed my deck...auto antenna prob
'90 Vert
I had just installed by new Kenwood CD deck. I am having a problem with the auto antenna. The antenna lead gives off a low voltage signal. If I ground it the antenna activates...vis versa if I unground it. My deck also output a voltage. How the hell do I adapt it?!?!??!

i added a relay for mine. Just bought a 30amp relay at the autoparts store. Used the power for the radio as the trigger, so when the radio powers on, it activates the antenna.

I had Best Buy make one for me. I went there and explained my prob to the tech guys in the garage area and they told me to wait a sec and he built me one in about 5 min. No charge.

On the relay there are numbers next to the pins. Wire as follows:
85 and 30 both to ground.
86 to the power antenna or amp turn on output from the aftermarket radio.
87 to the power antenna wire in the car.
87a (if on the relay) not used.
