I just got some penzoil 2-cycle outbard oil that is tcw3 certified and is made for fuel injection systems. Anyone use this before to premix?

I believe the general consensus was that the cheaper you can find it, the better it is, at least for this use.

I've personally heard some very good things about Amsoil lubes & 2 stroke oil, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

i just put the same stuff in my car yesterday. it felt like it pulled a little stronger than with just the omp, but its probably my imagination, and the cooler air. doesnt smoke much either. at least not that I noticed. thats most important to me. that the premix doesnt gunk up my exhaust system.

Talking cheap premix

Check out the price for gallon at Walmart for the Super Tech house brand. Cheap!!! Get one of the 12oz bottles and just keep refilling it. I generally put in 12oz/fillup.

I was under the impression that not all premix was created equal. Do some leave behind more gunk than others? And don't some lubricate the combustion chambers better than others?

TCW-3 cert. means they are up to snuff. Other than that its all speculation unless there is a rotary specific independent test. A good brand is a good brand. But I didn't sweat that **** when I pre-mixed.

sorry to sound dumb but, what is the purpose of premix? Is it like with the first gen where you had to add oil ito the gas due to the lack of oil injectors or is it for some other purpose/benifit?
