Just got my BNR turbo

Stage 4 took about a month .. finally. Anyway, this doesn't appear to be the same as the picture on his website. Anyone have some insight?

Ask BNR, many people have been very happy with their work. There's likely a good reason it looks different. Looks to me like the casting stamps are just different and it's otherwise about the same, except I wonder why the Aspect Ratio appears to read .70

I've seen pics where someone's BNR turbo had a turbonetics cover and BNR went to the trouble of crossing out the turbonetics "T" symbol with a black marker (apparently to express their displeasure with turbonetics), so I assumed BNR uses whatever covers they have in their parts bin. I can't confirm that however.

Check out Furb's: https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-294/furb-rx-7-fc-877355/page4/

It should look like this since his is also a stage 4?

it's still a 60-1 compressor... you can tell from the 7 blades

it is still a T04B package with a 60-1 compressor wheel.
there are a lot of different housings on the market which are T04B spec.
although the 6-1 compressor used is always from garret

but you got lucky with only having to wait a month... mine took 5 months!!

Just got off the phone with Bryan, apparently his machine shop ate threw all the other housings he had and he bought all new ones from Garrett which apparently are now .70 in size. Was informed this should actually have quicker spool time and a bit more hp as well.

It may just be possible that I'll have the quickest hybrid turbo car

I'm surprised they didn't say something to you already, or did they and you missed the memo? Cool though.

I want. Please post power numbers if possible. Wonder if you'll get close to 400.

How would having a larger compressor housing decrease spool time? The photos show a 0.6 A/R housing, while this one is 0.7. Shouldn't that mean the turbo will spool up a little slower (more volume to fill), but have slightly more flow potential (HP)?

Depends on the rear housing as well.

Anyway, will be on the dyno within two weeks. My father decide to throw out some of my parts to my cars .. one being the piece between the turbo and downpipe. Not happy.

Also, one of the lines isn't fitting right.

If its the coolant inlet fitting from the lower intake manifold, i had the same problem. Just heat it up and bend it a little bit at a time till it fits correctly

400hp is attainable with a to4b with the proper set up and tuning, I got exactly 400 with a out of the box garrett to4b

I just got my Stage 4 from Bryan and looks just like yours. Mine took about 2 months though. It will be months before I get on a dyno.

Stage 2 and Stage 4 use different T04b wheels. One is an H3-trim and the other is a 60-1 wheel.

I got the Stage 3,and I had a "hybrid" on the engine before I swapped.
The BNR Stage 3 Really KICKS ***!..I am running 750 x4 and an Rtek 1.8..It seems to work pretty good.I haven't Screwed with different boost levels yet,But I got the car On the road, and I am driving it "sort of Conservatively"..
I plan to Upgrade to the RTEK2.1 and 1000's on the Secondaries.
I just like the Fact that you can add Decent power by Slapping on a Turbo that just Bolts IN./None of this getting a Manifold/wastegate..etc.That was the Thing that Got me.I HAD all the Other Parts to go that route, but Honestly, the simple things can be the Better way.Especially IF it is a Budgetary thing!

Hey hurleysurf24, any pics of the turbo installed in your car?

Did you go to the dyno already?
