Loud? The sound will get muffled by the air density since it's only coming out the header. Please, I am waiting for the OP to post videos of this beast, everyone quit saying it will be loud, haters....

 

It's the Racing Beat presilencer for S4s that has the back pressure sensing tube that opens the auxiliary ports.

 

who here HASN'T fired up a rotary with open headers? i remember doing it in high school, i did it last year with the P port too...

 

Is the presilencer an round tube that bolts right to the end of the header? my buddy has jus crashed his s4 and has it. Thats where I got the header. I didnt know if I was going to need that pipe or not.

Yes, the presilencer would go between the header and the stock Y pipe. If you took the header off of his car, you may as well take the presilencer, too. It should look like the pipe here:

 

Then that pipe will let me remove my cats and the 5th and 6th ports will open without mods to trhe aux ports? and i can run my own exhaust out the back?

 

Correct. Your "5th and 6th" ports are the auxiliary ports. With that pipe, you will have no catalytic converters and the auxiliary ports will still function as intended.

I dont recal lit looking like that. It looked more like a chromed glasspack with adpaters on each end

Also, If i get the presilencer could i just the header and the presilencer and it run like it should just be a little louder?

 

hell yah dude. just run straight pipe. its not loud at all.

 

Once again its only gonna be a few days not even a week. I just want to do it before I finish up the rest of the exhaust. I did it after the break in period in my 72 GTO with a 455HO. jus becuase I could. So i thought I could do it with this car.

 

rotary is way louder than your v8.

 

We'll Im going to see. Im putting the header on tomorrow, and leaving it til next saturday. Im putting the rest of the exhaust on next saturday. Ill be sure to post vids of before, open header, and full exhuast.

 

If you want to get rid of your stock cats, let me know.

 

its not louder at all. start the car and just drive around and floor it everywhere you go. its soo much fun.

 

I wont have a need for the cats. I dont think Im going to ever put them back on. Ill let you know though once I get them off.
