Oh man... I flange which I had brazed for a temporary fix just let go as I was coming from work.
I have a ported engine, with the sound dissapators removed...
HOLY CRAP!!
I have started up my only 1st gen onece with just the manifold, but this doesn't compare.
I could barely hear my stereo, and it's not a walkman!!
Hope to fix that soon.....
Tha whole car shakes like a Harley, on a riding bull..on a cement vibrator. (a bad one)
It is the loudest vehicle I have ever heard, no other engine can compare to the rotary for volume!!

hahaha....i did the exact same thing.....that sound scared the hell out of me. i swear that's the loudest sound that i've ever heard in my life. and that shaking made my *** numb by the time i got to the muffler shop to weld on the pipe to connect my headers to the y-pipe. definitely an interesting experience tho...

Rotary Freak
I ran back home from the muff shop after they changed thier mind on doing my exaust. I had drove home about a mile with just the dual out RB header. **** in a dood.
The car shook like Bambam said and I could NOT hear my own voice what so ever. I had to keep it under 3k or my face would just kringe. I was plugging one ear the whole time.
