Has any one driven there TII with just the downpipe....is it safe to drive with just the down pipe for a month. (BTW Florida has no Emissions.)

 

haha, i have been this afternoon.....i drive my civic open dp everywhere.....won't hurt anything...watch out for dry grass and it will be VERY LOUD

Probably won't have any back pressure. but I won't be boosting.

You wont have any hearing either. BTW, boosting with just a DP is quite safe. The turbo provides the backpressure

 

You'll get pulled over within 5 minutes

ive been running open down pipe for little over a month its not that loud car pulls alot harder and makes to much boost so watch your boost and keep it safe make sure you have alot of fuel

 

damn a month. I had mine off for a day on my RX, went out and made 2 test passes on the main road through 2nd gear, came home, parked, and 5 min. later watched a cop drive by and glare at me and my car.

Definitly built more boost- I hit the fuel cut, twice

 

I've ridden in a car with open DP/MP to breakin the brake pads and we saw two cops while we were driving and they did not even look at us. Its loud but nothing compared to open header/manifold with an N/a.I would look for a spare or unused main cat and gut it and put that on the end of the down pipe. It may help a little with the noise and make it deeper than just the turbo weed wacker sound.
