Just bought an 88 10 A.E. but ......................
So i picked up an 10AE but it does not run. It has been garaged for 8 years. Well I got a new battery, spark plug, had no liquids in the car. So killed up with oil and radiator fluid. Need a fan for it as well and an ems. The owner had upgraded it, new turbo, clutch, and some other stuff. Was in his garage for the last 8 years, no rust anywhere, everything works fine (Switches and so on)
But the car should run. But it only cranks and cranks. It won't turn over. The compression is good, that was checked yesterday. Today plan on getting the alt and starter checked out. I pretty sure its not fuel related as you can see the fuel regulator working, even had to tighten it cause was leaking at first.
Also after you turn the car all the way it beeps then a loud buzzer sound

3 things needed to start a car....Fuel Compression and spark. According to what you said you have fuel and compression. Only thing missing is spark. High chance the actual engine is flooded.
In order to unflood the motor pull the two fuses closes to the block inside the bay. remove the Leading plugs (bottom ones) for both housings. then Crank the car for 5 seconds with the gas pedal all the way down. do this twice or trice (three times) till you are gettin even pulses (strong ones) psh psh psh. Once you do that put everything back together again. plugs back in, fuses back in, and try starting the car. Should start up nicely.
Might experience some smokage though since the car has been sitting for 8 years. chances are you might have bad seals. if you get black smoke oil seals are blown, white smoke = coolant seals. God speed and good luck.

I told you need a spark because obviously you have compression, and gas.. maybe
BTW congrats on the 1st post! you dont deserve that car!

Remove spark plugs to confirm fuel is going into the combustion chamber. It's not enough to have fuel at the rails.
Make sure the previous owner didn't rig some sort of safety/theft switches, although it doesn't sound like it on the surface.
Pull spark plug boots (one at a time) and check for spark on each one.
Do flooded engine procedure, and check for fouled plugs.
Good luck, and do read the FAQ, archives, etc. at the top of this section. For factory service manual, parts fiche and training manuals, see my sig. for links.
If you've read this far, you're already better than most noobs here.

you need timing too

The sparks are string you an here them no problem. But still no start up. So i took out the alt and starter and going to getr them checked just to help elimate some possible causes.
So far
All liquids replaces
new battery
new spark plugs
wire are fine
compression adn spark is good
so next checking alt and starter

You can always go ghetto and try to pull start it... A buddy of mine got his to start by doing that. Pulling the plugs and fuses and everything wouldn't start it since it had been sitting for a year prior to him buying it.
Good luck...
Good luck...
Why did you pull the alternator and starter? That was a dumb move.
THE ENGINE IS CRANKING. THE STARTER IS FINE.
Reinstall those parts and try unflooding it. Check things that actually matter, like the ones mentioned above.

installed, tried the unflooding again and again and again, still nothing, car just cranks. Tried the fuse still nada, going to try and push start it tomorrow see what happenes
But assuming it's not...
I'd check the timing, just to see if it's not off for some reason after sitting for so long... Have you checked to see if the plugs are actually making a spark?
i would definitly reroute that long *** fuel line it looks like.
what kind of engine management are you runing in that thing? i noticed in the pics that it does not have an airflow meter.
are you sure the engine management is programmed properly?

that was one of the things, there is no engine managment system, but i figured that wouldnt prevent the car from running (stupid?), I put new gas and as mentioned before saprk and compression is good. airflow meter none
I think he's saying nothing aftermarket although he found a profoundly stupid way to say it. If the car has been sitting with gass in it the whole time then drain the fuel and put in fresh gas this includes the lines. check spark and all vacume lines make sure the ECU is plugged in and check all plug connections and if there is just the stock ECU get a AFM and hook it up and plug it in. then if it wont start try pull starting it. If it still wont start I suggest looking for a new motor.
