If you have $300, then go for it. Just be aware that you have no idea what condition the engine really is in. Pull the plugs and check for excess oil or coolant contamination, turn it over and listen to the "pops", etc. But you're getting a junkyard engine...

junkyard = gamble

it could've been in need of a rebuild before the accident. can you get more info besides "it was t-boned?"

I'd go for it IF.........

The engine turns over by hand or breaker bar.

Motor= $300
Rebuild kit = $600
Complete = $900

He is scared and needs more inspiration LOL

You can do it get the Motor!!! Try to rebuild it. Look at it this way its a course in college and the course cost $300 (motor) and the lab cost and books cost $600 (rebuild parts). It's part of your education......you can never get enough education and who would criticize you for taking a course for extra credit??

Its all in the wording. Now go get that motor b4 I track it down and buy it myself.
