mattg prob nt coming back

hi everyone, today i was looking in a junkyard and i found a 13b(non-turbo) in a car that just got there. the car was crashed last week and im thinking the motor is still cherry because it was t-boned. do you guys think i should buy the motor for $300? thanks, Gabe

If you have $300, then go for it. Just be aware that you have no idea what condition the engine really is in. Pull the plugs and check for excess oil or coolant contamination, turn it over and listen to the "pops", etc. But you're getting a junkyard engine...

You can do it get the Motor!!! Try to rebuild it. Look at it this way its a course in college and the course cost $300 (motor) and the lab cost and books cost $600 (rebuild parts). It's part of your education......you can never get enough education and who would criticize you for taking a course for extra credit??
Its all in the wording. Now go get that motor b4 I track it down and buy it myself.
