jumpy idle and strange heating

ok, so my cars idle used to be a little jumpy but nothing like this. when idleing it jumps from 1000 down to 500 or diff, places in bettween, and will keep doing this, in first i have to over use the clutch to keep it from dying on starts and in top of that my rock solid 1/4 temp jumped up to almost 1/2 then fell back down.
what the hell? any ideas? most recent mod was catback exaust yesterday, but that shouldnt effect anything right?

This had happened to me also but dont really know if this is it but, the idle adjustment may be to high. This had only happened to me after warm mode. i turned it down a little and everything was fine! good luck!

You have air in the coolant system causing the temp spikes. Reason being it’s over pressurizing or over heating b/c of blown coolant seals. Your idle is due to a BACV that needs cleaned and TB needs adjusting.

Two other links can be Water thermo sensor and Thermo Stat.

Pull the upper RAD cap off take out the EGI INJ fuse and have someone crank the car. If it bubbles bad and over flows blown coolant seal, :-/ sorry.

You realy cant.....You can do the block weld trick some times. You can buy a seal kit and replace any out of spec parts and rebuild it. Or you can do a full rebuild :-/ sorry.
