Japanese FC's don't have sidemarkers at all. They have side indicators at the front and nothing at the rear.

i had a jdm front clip and it had the standard sidemarker lights
the fenders had GTX stickers on each side that was the only difference.. it had the jdm flash to pass lenses with the lights in the front bumper tho..
it was an s4 clip

^^hes telling the truth. the USA is the only country that has full side lenses. Other places including Japan have the front fender ones but they are the same as the US ones. now some places in Europe have the fender lenses mounted between the wheel and door area.

just get a light sheild for a florecent light and cut out the lense yourself. If you do it right, it will look just as good IMO.

There is a difference between the JDM and the USDM as many people stated...They both are orange but the JDM do "bubble" out I will take a picture of the difference when I get home. Some JDM front clips have USDM marker lights in them because just like a lot of people here in America want to do JDM conversions to their cars, there are a lot of people in Japan that are trying to do USDM conversions to theirs.

They serve totally different purposes, so they have different names. Side markers only come on with the taillights; side indicators only come on with the front and rear indicators. Kinda obvious...

Whatever man.. Its symantics.. My side markers indicate that the side of my car is there... There for, they are indicators.

NZConvertible: I think you need to clarify this in the FAQ. LOL.

IMO the JDM side markers are sorta ugly... i like either a nice tinted USDM marker, or real USDM clear markers.

Ive seen a lot of people try and use florecent light things, and it always looks bad to me.

The clear side markers are hard to find. If you watch Ebay like daily you will see them on there pretty often, maybe once a week or so.

Has anybody checked these guys out? http://www.clearcorners.com/products/mazda/fc/

Honestly you'd have to be pretty close to even notice. It's be silly to pay money for genuine JDM lenses just to look different, because I think you'd be lucky if anyone noticed.

Before i had seen them first-hand id prolly agree with you. The first time i saw them at rotary fest, i saw them right away (I tend to pay really close attention to little details) and didnt quite like how they bubbled out the way they do. I was about 40 feet away when i noticed them BTW.

But, I agree most people wont notice. I think its more a "i want a JDM FC" thought, or when people sell their cars they always post "JDM kouki tail lights" bullshit like that.

I think the clear sidemarkers that Corksport used to sell are though!

These are the side markers im thinking of. Look stock, even with the little square in the middle of the lense.

umm. yeah.. the reason i like these more than stock isnt cause im a ricer. Its because I dont like the color yellow and red on my black FC, and the front turn signals are white... dont you think maybe the car would match better if it had clear side markers versus yellow and red out of place.

Cmon you should know that.. sometimes people want form over function. little details can sometimes make a car look better.. you have a headlight scoop... thats purely aesthetic...
i could say to you, that all the scoops on your car look stupid and serve no prupose, go buy a civic if you want that kinda **** lol. Not trying to sound mean, thats just what i think.
