so try it out. put in a couple cans of octane booster, borrow a wideband, and rent some dyno time.

Yes the JDM Ecu will work. The JDM harness will not because it is not long enough so you have to extend them which is a royal pain.

The one problem that seems to afflict many of the ecu's from Japan is they will often not run the rear rotor (front rotor only). You can try it though.

No, the jdm ecu WILL not work unless it's chipped. There's lots of threads about this... You could use the search button. But yeah, you gotta rechip the N374 to work and no have the rear rotor fuel cut.

I had a 89 T2 (real deal) and it ran perfectly fine with a regular n374. needed something for use while the n370 was getting chipped.

Maybe the N374 ecu you used, was already chipped.

Amv, it if plug and play. But the settings are different. There are people here who have used N374 ecu's and it has worked. But the other 80ish% of the people who have tired has failed. (Me including)

There is no N318 ECU.

And back to the subject, I've also read plenty of threads where people swear off the N374, but there are also a handful that get it to work.
