Jacobs Ignition Amplifier
Any one tried the Jacobs FC1000 or FC2000? Does it compatible to rotary engine? Someone told me that the ignition amplifier generates too much ignition power and the rotary can not handle that heat and the engine will die soon, is that true? Does the ignition amplifier really good? much better than the stock one?

I don't know who told you that crap about the rotary not being able to handle "too much heat". That statement is far-fetched to say the least.
I haven't driven my car as a turbo yet, but as an N/A:
Idle is the same. It has a slightly raspier noise when excelerating. "Boost" comes on a little stronger at 3k. The sweetest part (for me at least) was at around 5.5k instead of not pulling as hard as the rest of the powerband (as it had before), I would get an extra boost of power similar to what is experienced around the 3k mark.
I'm curious as to what it can to with my turbo setup.
Possibly. I don't own a third gen nor have I had a chance to drive a car fitted with another system (like the HKS), so, I can not compare the two.
I do know that Rotary Performance almost always wins their class on the nationals (although I'm not a fan of drag racing, I am talking about drag racing), one of the many mods on their car is the Jacobs Pro Pak.
Just my $.02

Can you hook up a Crane Cams Ignition box to your Trailing Coil Pack aswell? Currently I have It on my Leading Pack? I like the Idea of an Ignition Box on both Coil Packs. Any Implications?
Just to note something. Soul Assassin was in Japan. He has a bridgeport. His ignition was 3 MSD's, 2 on the Leading, and 1 on the trailing.
S.A. is the FC all other FC's want to be.
Just thought I'd say that little fact.

That Is Insane. 2 on the Leading. Must be 1 for each coil than.

i would be curious to know what other have experenced with the install of these boxes?
does the Jacobs come with hookups for the leading and trailing? or just one? do think the gains would be great if u got two Jacobs??

Long story short. There's a local guy building a drag RX-7. ( You'll hear about it before too long ) He said that he'd talked to Jacobs, MSD, & Crane. When you mention possible sponsorship, they tend to be very truthful. Anyway, between them all, he's running MSD. So, I'll have to say that's what I'd go with.
Unless you have a very high HP application, your best bet is to hook one up to the leading coil, and be done with it.
( Even tho' the guy I'm speaking of uses MSD, RETed uses Crane. They're essentially the same thing. Get the one that best suits your price range, and needs )
