im pretty sure you cant do that. you have to change several settings in my haltech to do it (along with wiring). The FC trailing ignition is really screwwy. its not just sending a single pulse to fire one coil and a pulse on the second wire to fire the second coil. My memory is a bit foggy on this but i think a pulse on 1 wire fires one coil and a pulse to both fires the second coil.

what's the point? The stock coils are fine. and yes the ignition system is a little weird. the leading is waste sparked (both plugs fire at the same time) and the trailing has a toggle signal to switch between the front and rear trailing plug.

+2. The stock 2nd gen ignition is incredibly powerful. On my last setup, I was running 24-25lbs of boost with a chemical soup gas mixture of 70% gasoline and 30% alcohol with air/fuel ratios in the mid 10's to 1 with no spark blowout using stock FC ignition hardware. There's no point whatsoever in changing yours out with your setup.

Oh, you could technically wire it up with the trailing and leading stock ignitors but that doesn't mean it is worth the trouble and the cost nor does it guarantee that it'd be efficacious for your setup. My vote is with the others; don't fuss with it.

+3, no point in changing it out when First and 3rd gen guys us FC coils in 500+rwhp cars. The FC ignition system is not the weak point (neither is the oil cooler which a lot seem to want to "upgrade" as well).

its very easy to wire up. the thing is.... its pointless. now if the situation is that you got a car ( fc ) with no coilpacks, and just happen to have some ls1 coils, then... i see why youd need to ask.

if you look at the haltech section of the forum, and look at how the haltechs wireup to teh fc coils, youll get a good understanding of what needs to get done.
