Question Intake tube difference S4 vs. S5 N/A

I'm trying to find out if the Black intake tube between the MAF and intake elbow is exactly the same size in an S4 (86-88) and an S5 (89-92) for N/A engines. Does anyone have both to compare side by side and let me know???
I do not want to cut the one I have on my 86' if the other one is shorter. This is for an experiment and I might want to revert the process, which would be hard if I cut the tube.

Thanks

they are about the same length, same diameter. the S5 has an extra vacuum fitting, and i wouldn't be surprised if its a slightly different curve, but it should interchange with an S4

look up the parts in the parts manuals and compare for yourself.
