Intake Help! (pics)
ok. so... i got my blitz intake:
since my 90 gtu didn't have an intake. after getting it back from the shop (o2 sensor problem/wiring harness) my friend and i decide to install it.
first off, what the hell is going on:
the intake doesn't line up (scroll down to a link for the instructions for the intake).
more pix:
what goes here?
what the hell is this? i found it in those spaces behind the seats:
another shot:
instructions for the intake: http://www.racingbeat.com/PDF/16525.pdf (the piece that is supposed to connect to the pipe doesn't fit)
what am i missing and can i get it from the mazda dealership? and what is that piece i was holding? i'd like to get this intake on asap since i don't like running without one

Dont know about the intake but to your question of what goes here...
Well it's your airpump, depending on whether you have an S4 or S5 may or may not have to be connected to a hose for emissions.
The last 2 pics are of your primary fuel rail w/ the pulsation dampener still attached. Find out if it was replaced w/ an S5 rail. Was done to prevent gasoline fires under the hood when the pulse damper fails.

BTW about the airpump. If you have the 86'-88' doesn't really matter much, Just acts as a smog pump. Later models 89-91 uses it to open 5th/6th ports beside emissions

I'm not familiar with Blitz filters, but it looks to me like you have it right in the 1st pic. Does the big half connect to the filter?
That hole in the 3rd pic is for opening your 5th and 6th ports(sorry, I don't remember the name of it). I bought a piece of tubing from the hardware store to connect mine...the intake has a hole like the one pictured too, right? If not I think they may have sent you the wrong intake.
Here's a few pics of my APEX'i one for reference. See how it has a place for the other end of the hose? (pardon the hillbilly airbox. )
EDIT: by the looks of your MAF I'm thinking your car is an S5...?

yeah i have an S5
so should i get a rubber tube to connect to the metal pipe that runs out of the intake and into that pipe? and what size tube and where can i get the clamps (shown in those pictures of Natey's) to hold them on?
Natey, no they don't line up. The metal piece that is supposed to plug into the hose is too small. the instructions say it's for my model. "blitz lm intake 89-91 (all)"
also, i am missing the metal piece in those pictures that connects the intake (brackets) to the chassis to prevent it from wobbling around. can i get that from mazda?
i think whoever had the car before me messed around with the intake. i'll take more pictures tomorrow of how it doesn't fit and everything if something hasn't been answered!

UPDATE:
got the filter on. for the most part. it seems that it doesn't sit right on the metal piece that goes into the filter (as shown in the instructions). or maybe it does, i don't know! i'm also missing the metal chassis connector and the metal piece that surrounds the mazda sticker/perhaps maf? so it's just chilling under the hood. so i need to try to get those from mazda or a junk yard or maybe someone can sell them to me!
and the filter doesn't make the cool "whoosh" that most intakes make. like the pop-charger on my 240! it makes the cool "whoosh" I MUST HAVE THE COOL "whoosh"

yeah lolz. money would help with that! my friend seems to think that rotaries don't "whoosh" as much as piston driven engines. is this true? do rotaries even really benefit from intakes? i know they benefit a lot more from exhaust/headers than piston engines. EXPAND MY ROTARY KNOWLEDGE
