Intake

Is there a cold air intake that will fit a second gen? I can only find air filters and replacements for the stock intake.

If you are thinking like a civic, and believe a cold air intake to be polished aluminum piping with an open-air filter that sits right next to the engine. no. The stock arrangment is much better than that.
If you truly want a cold-air intake, 1987RX7guy has developed their own that works rather well, all it takes is a little searching.
heres a thread that shows it's testing:

remember, most of the time, power aint pretty, and pretty aint power. So if you want that nice chrome pipe, get a civic

If you have an 89'-91... all you need is a cone filter with a 3" diameter rubber mount, if you have an 86-88 you have to get the adapter for the MAF..

I MADE my cold air intake for about 10 bucks in parts... I went to a junkyard, got another passenger side headlight cover, cut a slit in it and then beat that into a miniature scoop, then you bondo it and primer and paint it to match your car. You also have to remove the bit of weather-stripping behind the headlight on the hood. Then, you make a cold air box to surround the filter, I used a sheet of thin aluminum, with a foam strip to seal it to the hood.

Fresh air comes in the headlight scoop and right into the box. works like a friggin charm!

If you get inventive, its possible to duct air from the front airdam up to the air box by using some aluminum tubing and a funnel.

You can buy the headlight covers pre-made, but they are a bit salty...

However, nobody makes one that goes out and under the bumper as a ready to install kit. So if you want to do it, get creative with your bad self!!

COOL

YEah if you all want to see the website here it is. www.aztechrotary.com

Although it isn't a chrome pipe I will be adding some sort of coating be it ceramic paint or just regular paint. I don't thing this will add to the cost as a good paint only costs like 5-7 bucks and I can take that out of it no prob. I designed this style intake over the headlight covers because it works 100% of the time unlike a headlight duct. And those MOSTLY do not have even the surface area to provide the air to the filter. And it is not a sealed shoot/duct that goes to the filter so there is no guarantee that the duct is doing anything. I was going to buy a headlight duct from a guy that sells them for 50 bucks but things got out of hand and not he won't even return my PM's. I told him I wouldn't lie about the test results and he still doesn't reply. Wonder why....

The TII intake would have been finished months ago but I didn't have a TII. Right now I am working off of a TII that doesn't work/run at all so I am just making sure it will fit properly and all that. But I need to test it so that I am sure it works for what it is supposed to be and not just a ricer intake. When that is done then three people get the gift of an intake for testing. two spots are already taken for the TII testers only one is left. I am going to raffle that spot off on my forum. If you all want to be a tester and get the max discount for a TII CAI you can go to my forum. I am making a "Tester" section at the moment so you all can show your interest in it there.

I had to set back the dyno run. I am having hesitations above 4700rpms under 100% throttle. I need to check all the things out before I waste 100 smackers on dyno runs. But don't worry I hope to get around to that tommorow.
