installing old school trust intercooler

No the piece right after the piece that goes right next to the manifold (the wierd m looking one). I have all the pipes on from the tb to the intercooler except that one piece cause it won't fit. you have the u shaped piece then the long piece that goes next to the manifold then the wierd piece I can't get then the long u shaped piece then the bent piece that goes into the top of the fmic.

Do you have a pic of the intallation. Is their enoph space for bouth of them? Hve you fitted all the other piping in. Yhea that one look funny, flip it around.
Are you using the stock air filter box, because I think you have to use an aftermarket filter adn housing.

Yes, you can paint the intercooler. If it isn't going to be protected by some kind of grille, toss on a few coats and maybe an aerosol clearcoat as well. You don't want pebbles and such chipping it .

cool thanks I just mounted it without painting it but I may drop it since it's only one bolt and spray a couple of coats on it and clear coat is like I did my piping. Even though I'm ******* the paint on one of the pipes up because I can't fit the bitch! grrrrr!

Hondahater, if you're chipping the paint while mounting the pipes try wrapping them in plastic wrap. When they are mounted, cut the wrapping off.

good Idea! Its only one that one piece cause I can't get it to fit! I wish I could see some pictures of that piece installed. Maybe someone that still has this old school piece would be nice enough to snap a pic. Anyways I'm going to wrap it right now, thanks for the idea.

what color are you painting the ic, and can the ic be seen from outside the car?
~if the answers are silver and yes, i would strongly recommend painting the ic flat black so you don't have any outside temptation for "appropriation"

lol, well luckily I live in a place where 2/3 of the people that live here don't know what an intercooler is let alone what one looks like The only guy that has a turbo around here has an svt or whatever and up until reasantly I thought he had those fart can's that sound like a bov, lol.

I can snap some but I think what I'm going to do is
a. put my intercooler back in because I just sprayed it and clear coated it.
b. set the car down cause its on a jack stand.
c. take off the strut tower bar so that I have more leverage with the piece that goes infront of the manifold. This may help that piece fit in there. I'll let you know in about 20 minutes.
