ok results of the install. the second pic on the first page is almost the correct way here is the correct way from throttle boddy to intercooler.

1. small U-shaped pipe with greddy on it.
2. long piece that goes infront of the uim.
3. larger of the two 90's that come in the set.
4. wierd w shaped piece.
5. Lastly the straight pipe will go to the intercooler on the top

now for the intercooler to the turbo

6. smaller of the two 90's
7. piece of pipe that looks like this (bad drawing) __/---- the piece is straight then in the middle bends upward in a 45* angle and then goes straight again.
8. the real curvey pipe that looks almost like a question mark.

Anyways here is pics installed.

Have you noticed any differences in power compared to the smic, any lag.

ok I promise this will be the last post Anyways an update now that I have my boost controller and it is installed. First off I noticed no increase in turbo lag from the stock tmic so that was a great plus! Also I noticed that I had strong boost through out my hole time driving unlike with the heat soaked tmic that would start to pull less and less the hotter everything became under the hood. In all this was a great upgrade to the tmic and I would recomend this intercooler to anyone that can't quite afford the money for the newer greddy intercooler setup. The install after finding out where the piping went was very easy infact to put the ic in all you have to do is put it up through the bottom of the car and bolt it to the hood latch (you'll see what I"m saying) and you are done. Anyways just make sure when you are buying this setup that you see all the piping that is on this thread because alot of the time the kits on ebay don't come with all the piping. Good luck!

tweak check out the first pic in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=367351 and wanked fc you bastard! If I had that when I first made this thread it would have been alot shorter! Very cool manual man!!!!!

EVERYONE THAT IS INSTALLING THIS KIT CHECK OUT THE MANUAL IN THE LINK HERE http://students.bradley.edu/~jjarvis/greddy.pdf ALL YOUR ANSWERS WILL BE ASKED AS FAR AS INSTALLATION.

that is the same one I have and it bolts in with one bolt to the hood latch.

someone needs to archive this thread by the way!

Sorry I didnt see the thread sooner . I just acquired the manual when I purchased my kit a few days ago. But I'll leave the manual in my webspace until I graduate from college and they take away my account.

Hey where did you get it by the way?? Came with a manual, thats incredible.

oh and after looking closely my kit was a tad bit differant in the fact that I didn't have to rotate the compressor housing 200 degrees. I had a question mark looking pipe that fit directly to the stock compressor house location.

you might have had a combination of hks and trust pipes. The hks kit core is very simliar to the trust core and it doesnt not require the compressor to be rotated.

mine where welded over as you can see in some of the pics in this thread however I think there where plugs that you could get for them but probably not still around.

did u have to do any cutting on the chasis i saw the installation manual and it said that it has to cut, for piping to go through?
I guess i will have to find some plugs or just weld mine up for the injector holes, my kit does not have a blowoff valve flange welded on it. It is a full kit from looking at ur pics, i have nines pipe all together,, and plenty of fittings. Will theese kits fit with the stock turbo,?

yeah it should work perfect with the stock turbo just depending on what you have you may need to turn your turbo compressor housing 200*. Also I had nothing I had to cut it just fit right in with no problems.

anywhere from 3 to 600 bucks depending on wether or not it has all the piping and what condition the intercooler is in. Not a bad investment however for about 400 more you can get a big greddy kit.
