Installing new axles

So after beating the hell out of the NA axles to get them out it's time to put the T2 axles in. I noticed they are quite a bit bigger when I tried to put them they wouldn't slide between the shock and where the hub attaches. I'm sure if I disconnect the shock and swing it out of the way the axle will go in no problem. Any other similar issues I should be aware of as I go to install the rear end?
Lastly the axles will work with the NA hubs correct? Will the spline on the t2 axles slid into my hubs or is it bigger too?

the splines are the same,it will slide into the hubs no problem. But your going to need the stub shafts.

EDIT: i dont even think the t2 stub shafts will slide into the n/a diff case. Sooo i dont know what to tell you. IMO full T2 rear end swap or stay n/a.

slide the axel all the way into the hub. then pull hard on the square end (that mounts to the diff)...it will go on there, just have to be persistent. it is also easier to get one stud through the axel then rotate it to get the others on.

The problem with this method is I can't get the axle through the the hub bc the joint on the axle is bigger and won't fit between the suspension components

you can always drop the rear subframe to get more visibility...might be easier. with the subframe on the ground you can un-bolt the diff and tilt it to the side to get more clearance.

Just disconnect your shock from the hub. 17mm bolt I believe. Shove it off the stud and to the side, it's alot easier than dropped the rear subframe.

I agree with that Too.
also Grease the spline inside the hub assembly with a dab of axle grease. That will make things slide in easier.
