installing hose techniques kit

I have a silicon braided hose kit from hose techniques.

When installing the kit I will be taking off the UIM to get to the vacuum lines there.

My question is will I need to buy any new gaskets or anything when I remove the UIM.

Also I am going to have my injectors cleaned as long as I have the intake manifold off. I've heard that you need to get new o-rings when you take out/put in injectors. Is this true? Also, where can I get these gasket related parts? The dealer?

Thanks.
Tim

Yes you will need to get new gaskets unless yours are in really good shape or fairly new. You can get them from mazdatrix or the dealer. But mazdatrix.com will probably be cheaper. And yes you will need new O-rings for the injectors. You can get those from autozone.

Let us know how the hose install goes. I am thinking about it and it just seems like a lot of work.

Its really not that bad, but you do have to be really careful when taking the old hoses off all the plastic solenoids. The little plastic tips on the solenoids are very easy to break off. Ask me how I know Theres an FC in a junkyard here sans about 5 little solenoids

just a word of advice, when you replace your lines, do them one at a time. that way you're not left scratching your head wondering where they all go :-D

I was just thinking that I should have said that somewhere in my post but then I thought, hey its common sense right? But the more I thought about it the more I realised someone would probably just rip them all off at once

I was thinking, would I need a new gasket from the UIM to the TB. (thats what the UIM connects to on the other side right?)

theres no gasket between the UIM to the TB, its a black plastic plate thing about a half inch wide.

also, you said 'silicone braded hose kit' does does HT have stainless braided vac hose now or something?
