Installing Dual alternator belt pully.... How the.... do I get this old one off???

Ok- I got a dual alternator belt pully to stop my sqeaking in 1st above 5.5k.

Now its mounted on a bad alternator, how should I go removing this. I tossed it in the vice and through a 2ft breaker bar on it- NOTHING. Soaked it in WD over night, nothing, PB blaster, nothing. Ugggg.
Any hints?

I just installed Higgi's dual alt pulley on my reman. Just awesome.

So what are you trying to do exactly? If you are talking about removing the dual alt pulley from the bad alt use an impact wrench.

I took my alternator in to a local parts store (AutoZone, I think) when I was putting the dual alt pulley on. Drive to store, attempt to remove alternator, curse as I burn myself, wander around for 15 minutes while the alternator cools enough that I can remove it, remove alternator, take it in and have them use their electric impact wrench to zip the old pulley off and the new one on, buy 2 new alt belts, reinstall, drive off.

I was replacing a shot one with one I bought off this forum. Couldn't get it off for a long time. Finally, I put a screw driver in the Alt. so it wouldn't spin. I put a cres. wrench on it and hit it with a mallet til it started to move. Also note, I live in an apartment so no vice... had to stand on it and swing down...lol.
