installing boost guage

ok i have a boost guage that i desperately need to install in the car ...

im thinking of using the grommet near the throttle cable on the drivers side ...

if i was to poke a hole in there and start shoving vac hose thru, where can i expect to see it or have it come out at ??

does that make sense ??

I've got about 4 or 5 wires running through that spot, haven't had any probs yet...you gotta be kidding- "where can I expect it to come out?"...look for the throttle cable on the other side...

On these cars, it's anywhere you can find a small hole without drilling one yourself...Mazda built a good, almost air tight cabin for us...

Hah. I just drilled a hole in my firewall for moine

Although with the engine out it is much easier to do

I drilled a hole near the throttle cable opening. The line then follows the firewall until it gets to the UIM nipple where it is tee'd in.

I don't think My guage is working though.

It hasn't moved at all. I mean you shoudl atleast see 1psi while driving lightly at4k rpm in 2nd right?or only under heavy pedal?

it should be reading vacum, an no if not on the throttle much you wont be boosting at all.

and for my boost gauge i went through where the a/c water tube drops off, since i odnt have ac it fit right in that gromet.
