Installing a air/fuel gauge

Ok i know it hooks up the the o2 sensor but where it is and what part to hook it up to and all that i have no clue.

where is the o2 sensor on a tII. and what part of the o2 sensor do i hook it in to.

Just making sure - but you do realize that narrowband 02 gauges AKA techno-dance-meter are totally useless, right?

That said - the o2 sensor is on the passanger side of the car right behind the turbo, you should be able to find the connector with some work. It's pretty hard to find though if your car is stock.

2 wires on your sensor will be for power/ground, the other is the "signal" wire - so you splice it in with your o2 sensor wire.

ok now i have to ask, with a stock narrowband will i still get a good fuel air signal because i need to see if i'm leaning out or running to rich at idle

I think that even stock the idle AFR is somewhere in the range of 13.0:1 so the gauge will read somewhere near the "rich" side of things.

Adjust you lean/ rich screw located in the passenger wheel well side if you are to rich at idle. Stock the turbo FC does run rich.

the ploblem is at idle i get rev bounce and when i floor it abover 3500rpms i go lean and i have a FCD and i need to air fuel to help find out whats wrong and making all this happen.

in less someoen knows of a cheap wideband

unfortunatly at this point i would say u havealready diagnosed your problum and a wide band will be of no use to your problum perhpas spending the money on whatever is nessary to fix it ?... and i dunno bout anyone else but idle bounce is most commonly atributed to a vacume leak am i correct ?... i dont know much about the turbo cars but i know with my 88na i have an safc 2 on there and i have removed 20% at idle and i can STILL smell fuel and the feeling u are getting under wot (flooring it ) ... can probably be atributed to a faulty electricle system / ignition thats just my take on things .. again i dont know the turbo cars well by any means but yeah hope that helped a bit good luck with ur trouble shooting

Don't go near the sensor. It has a shielded wire and chances are you'll accidentally connect to the shield wire and ground the signal. Make all your connections at the ECU. You can can power ground and signal there easily.

i know how to find a vac leak, but how would i fix it? lots of duct tape?

don't duct tape, take the plunge and get new silicone vac lines, or just new rubber ones. You will be alot happier
