Installed New RB Mufflers Yesterday-Not Very Loud

Just thought I'd report-Had a pair of the new shiny stainless steel Racing Beat mufflers from a turbo back system installed on my S5TII yesterday. With a Bonez DP and Hi Flow Cat, was very surprised that it wasn't louder. Great low tone with naturally more sound when full throttle. The sound with the Bonez products, and the factory original mufflers was actually slightly louder, although more of a higher pitch and not as "throaty".
Now that I can hear the tone, I guess it's time to buy a RB turbo back system. I was always concerned that the noise level would be too loud, as I've never heard a RB system before, but to my surprise it would be fine.

Wow, you found that the RB mufflers were more quiet than the stock ones with the DP and cat? That's all right! If you remember the sound of the whole stock system, how does it all compare now, i.e., RB, DP and cat? Is this louder that stock and if so by how much would you say?

As I purchased this car new, the mufflers are still the original, and they flow quite well. The complete stock system, with both converters was exceptionally quiet. It was too quiet. With the Bonez equipment I installed 3 years ago, the noise level increased significantly, but was always a little higher pitch than I liked. Must say these RB mufflers give it a good deep tone. Still using the factory "Y" pipe.

You're set up like mine, I still need the RB Y-pipe also. Got the Bonez...But yeh, the RB mufflers (got the turbo ones because the NA's weren't in stock at the time) look & sound great. Perfect noise level, just loud enough to get attention when you want to, but not loud enough to draw attention when you don't

I think they are a bit too loud for a vert. I am going to get a bonez and have a bend put in it to fit the vert. I believe my cat is gone making the vert a teeth shaker.

the rb y pipe is a great product. extra hd construction. hell one time I missed with a jack and put the car up on the y pipe, it did not take any damage.
