i am currently trying to get new injectors and i was told that the early manufactured 87 turbo models had one kind of injector and the late 87 models had another kind of injector. i have been lookin to find out if this is true and what the differences there if it is true other than just the color of the injectors.
thanks

i am currently have problems with the feul of course and the problem i am havin is that i am gettin way to much fuel to the cyc. i have check the pump hold good press, seems to function correctly, replaced the feul press reg, and then tested the feul system. when i ran the press test on the sys the press would only reach like 42 psi and wouldnt hold. i am think that it is the injections that are the cause of the problem.
the car will not start with the feul pump hooked up so i have to unplug and start it and then plug the pump back up to get it to run. the exhaust has white smoke comin out of the exhaust which indicates water but smells awful of raw feul. the car will not idle and does not run strong like it did, spudders , backfires, and revs slow. is there anything else that could cause this to happen other than injectors and regulator in the feul sys.
i have replace the plugs and check the coils. checked afm

Well, flooding, which generally results from leaking injectors and low compression, causes white smoke on initial startup. But, flooding usually makes the car just about impossible to start without first clearing it. I suppose you could have an injector that's stuck open, but you might also have rotor damage of some sort. Have you checked your compression? You should also check your spark plugs for raw fuel after running to see if you can spot the potential bad rotor.
Actually, I didn't post to tell you all that, as there are other posters who can probably give you much more substantial advice. I just wanted to be sure that you knew you could get your injectors cleaned for a lot less money than buying new ones, and probably be just as well off.

I don't think a bad rotor is the cause. It really sounds to me like you have an injector that's leaking constantly, because that's the best fit for your symptoms. The reason I suggested the compression check is because you have raw fuel in the exhaust. You've already eliminated poor ignition as the cause (I think), but it would be a good idea to also confirm the condition of the rotors. I was thinking about the possibility of a stuck apex seal in my earlier post.
Maybe you could edit your thread's title to "raw fuel problem" or something like that to draw in some more opinions.
