Question Injector Questions...

I'm buying a 91' Non-turbo, and the guy I'm buying it from says that the rpm's don't go above 5ish b/c 1 or 2 of the primary injectors are out. Does this sound about right? And if so, how difficult is it to do a swap? Supposedly the car still runs fine, it just lacks in acceleration and top speed. Any advice on if this is true or not, and how to swap them would be much appreciated.

Usually the secondaries would have an issue in the higher RPMs but since they all fire, I suppose that very well could be the problem. All you need to do is pull all of them and get them cleaned. Around $120 shipped back to your door.

91 has round lights. That sounds odd. What's the vin number on the car? It also sounds more like the secondaries then the primaries. I'm working on something like that now. Read this post: http://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthr...46#post1924946

Does that sound like your problem?

VIN JM1FC3319M0904958, also, what injectors should I use should I decide to replace the faulty ones? This of course being if they are really faulty. I saw the bosch 1200 cc's but are they any good?

Will it go over 5k rpms if you accelerate slowly?

It does sound very similar to the problem. The only thing is that the guy I'm buying it from says that the dealership told him that it was the primaries. I bet it is indeed the secondaries, possibly one primary.
