Injector Question...

I have a S4 jspec TII motor using a USDM wiring harness. My question is about the injector size. I had to cut the injector plugs off of the jspec harness and splice them into my USDM harness. The injectors on the engine (along with the harness plugs) are a magenta color. And I can't remember the USDM color....

So...what do you guys think?
What possible injector sizes could I have?

is this on a S4 or???

you shouldn't need to change the injector plugs, I suspect that you have a 87.5-88 engine and are using it with a pre 87.5 harness.

Yes, it's an S4 TII. Is there any issue to using the pre 87.5 harness with an 87.5-88 engine?

87TII injectors are low impedance and 88's are high impedance. You should never use low impedance injectors with a ECU that is mapped for high impedance injectors. However, you can use high impedance with a ECU taht normally uses low impedance.

In other words, the 87 and 88 injectors are different and I believe the plugs are aswell. Put a ohm meter to the injetor and see if it is high or low impedance. A low impedance injector is between about 2-5 ohms where as a high impedance is between about 12-16.

What are the numbers embossed on the injectors. Something like 19550-1370? Or what.

Yeah, what they said above also. Using colors to determine injector size Sucks and is B.S.

Don't forget to fix you're door handle too while you're out at the car.
