Injector is leaking bad help.

Ok on of my secondaries is leaking really bad so I can't drive my car. What parts would I need to order from Mazdatrix? I have an idea but I am not sure.

I think I need the injector grommets. I would have to buy the top and bottom grommet right?

http://mazdatrix.com/c-6.htm

the grommets are on this page.

The grommets should stop it unless there is damage to the fuel rail some how (causing the leak).

i would suggest just sending them off to Rc engineering so they can be clean...if your gonna have them off anyway...that way you know that none of them will fail anytime soon...its only like 20 bucks per injector which is a small price to pay for a sound mind

That's only partly true. There could also be splits or cracks in the injectors from excessive wear. So once you have the injectors out of the car, go over them with a magnifine glass if you have too. The entire injector might need replacing. I guess you'll find out soon.

Ok--I have what I think is a similar prob....86 NA with no mods and 87K original....I was driving and it just cut out on me, and that was the last time it fired up....when I first got it home and checked compression, there was NONE, and I took this to mean that it was really flooded. Got the extra gas out of the engine, and tried a little ATF....it would almost start, but stall right out immediately. After I got the gas out, it had compression, but it just doesn't want to start. Am I on the right track in thinking that I have an injector leak? I planned to have them cleaned anyway, but I want to make sure I am not looking in the wrong place. Where is Rc Engineering anyway? I know there are lots of things in the archives about flooding, but I just want to make sure I shouldnt be looking at something else....

The grommets are also available from the local parts stores. At least the ones around here seem to have them.

the diferent injectors have this number on them. 195500-1350 but on the GXL's injectors it says denso on the sport's it says"23" on the other side. Can i tell if they are compatible like this or do I have to check out the VIN#'s

Ok i went out and checked the vins and they are not compatible. Just out of curiosity what would happen if i put the 88 injectors in the 87?

she is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

I used the other o-ring and grommets and no more leak. Yes I ran her and she feels a little faster than before. I guess the port cleaning was a good idea after all. Now i just have to trouble shoot my exhaust leak but that is easy ****. Thank you all. MAN I LOVE MY CAR!

Well for the question you asked on the other thread to get the pintle cap off you can either grease it up with WD40 or somthing of that nature and then try to pull it off by putting a thin rag around it and grabbing it with a pair of plyers and pulling and hope that it doesn't break. Or you can just score it with a knife and buy new ones from mazdatrix thats what I did I brike them all trying to get them off so I had to. Or you can just run them when they are broke it shouldn't hurt anything all they are there for is to hold the rubber spacer in one place I believe.
