Information on "seized" rotors?

So, I found an ad on Craigslist for a Turbo S4 that says the rear rotor is seized. I've never heard of this before and was wondering if someone had encountered this before or had more information. I'm considering buying it to upgrade from my GXL and wanted to know if it was worth the time. Thanks.

stuck or blown seals likely. some people have difficulty thinking of proper terms to describe a condition.

there is no way to determine which rotor is actually siezing an engine so i can only assume they mean it rotates fine but one rotor is not functioning. pulling the exhaust and looking through the exhaust port will usually give you an idea of which is the case.

Alright, thanks. I figured it was just bad wording, I just wanted a second opinion.

words in a used car ad are meaningless... he's trying to make the blown engine seem like a small problem....

Very true! In the ad, the guy said "The rear rotary is siezed, its an easy fix."

I texted the guy the for pictures yesterday, the car is beat to hell. The ad doesn't have pictures but this is it: http://southbend.craigslist.org/cto/2636620797.html

I'd pass and find another project car, if that's what you're looking for...unless the guy is willing to take about half of what he's asking.

If he is, buy it sell all the spare performance parts and use the money to rebuild the engine and restore the body.

Nothing like a little challenge to add some spice to your life

Tiger should have paid you to take that engine.

aint that the truth

that was about my extent of dealing with them, that motor wasn't even worth the amount they charged my customer to ship it. basically the irons were toast as well as the turbo, one of the injectors was dead, thing would have never started... at least he was prepared to have it rebuilt which is why it wound up with me.

After I got the pictures, I decided not to buy it because it looks like this:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/66461030@N05/6400518063/" title="photo(3) by ZT1NY, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7018/6400518063_dfe10fca3a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="photo(3)"></a>

But! I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find the spoiler he has on it.

Its a stock "ducktail" or "duckbill" spoiler and it's made of rubber like foam. I never cared for them. That car is a project and a half. I'd give it some love if there really isn't any major rust underneath but the guy undercoated it so that makes me real suspicious.
