I'm gonna KILL MY OIL COOLER!!

My stupid oil cooler is leaking like no other at the top inlet....or is it outlet....

Anyway, the top oil line leaks when I start my car up or when it's cold. I thought that it was the brass o-rings goin bad. Nope....I replaced the o-rings but no success. I think the welds on the cooler are cracked on top. So....I tried to pull my cooler off. the stupid lower oil line won't unbolt from the cooler....GRRRR!!

I'm absolutely irate.

even with an impact gun those fittings are so tight sometimes i fear for ripping the whole corner of the oil cooler off..

i found that i have no 23mm wrench but a 15/16" seems a fine substitute. FYI.

Yeah.

I'm hoping that the other oil cooler I picked up will be ok. I'm gonna try to grab some air tools and give it another go this week.

SS Braided lines are nice, but getting the old ones off is a PITA..

also feared taking the corner of the oil cooler off while taking the old lines off

I bent and broke my old ones getting them off. They truly are a pain in the ***. The easiest way for me was to just disconnect the lines from the motor and then remove the oil cooler from the car and get the lines from the oil cooler off on a bench or on the ground. Working on it while its in the car is damn impossible.
