I'm a Dumbass..

Ok dont ask me how exactly this happened it was half my fault and half the companies but anyways. I have a '91 NA and I ordered '91 Turbo brakes (vented rotors instead of solid rotors). Now I know that the front Rotors fit cause I have them on already and I know the front pads dont (this is kind of a good excuse to go to 4 piston calipers but I'm broke so thats a no go). My question to you guys is, will the rear rotors and pads fit? I'd like to know if I need to return all the stuff or can I make it fit, before I take everything apart in the rear.

Now to my next question (which is the reason why I dont want to take apart my rear brakes yet) My rear bakes are in such good condition (sarcasm) that I broke the bolt holding the bracket (or cradle) to the knuckle. The head just snapped off so the rest is still in there. Any recommendations on how to get the bolds out?

not sure about the rear brakes but i want to say there they are bigger as well.

but for the bolt u are gonna have to drill a hole in the center of it and use an easy out and also lots of liquid wrench (lots lots lots lots)

I broke that same bolt once when I was doing my rear brakes. I had new calipers to put on so I just drilled the old one out. It worked great and didnt take to long, I just started small and went up from there. I tried to center it as much as possible and when I got near the size of the bolt it started to spin, so if you were careful this could be one way to remove it and re-use the caliper.

Could weld a nut onto where the bolt head snapped and try that.

do what theory said but also take a torch and get the area around the bolt really hot. A propane torch can work but an acetylene torch is best.

The rear brake pads on all fc's are the same and the rotor should fit fine.

The vented rotors are thicker than non-vented, even though the pads are the same, calipers are different.

I would recommend contacting Carbo-Tech in Shelby NC. They can custom make you brake pads. I had to have a set made for my 240SX when I did 300ZX brake swap - PM me and ill give you their phone number -

No fit, the vented rotors need the turbo calipers. No if and or buts about it. Custom brake pads will not work as the non-vented caliper bracket will not allow the vented rotors to fit.

As for the broken bolt, steel bolt in an aluminum hub = seize.
