Idle won't go lower then 1K and slight hunting...???

So I replaced the gasket btwn my turbo and exhaust manifold.

While wrenching I decided to remove this:

Now I can't get my idle smooth @ 800 like I had prior....???

The air pump had been removed years before and *everything was capped off, except for the bottom nipple directly under the phillips screw in the pic above.* That nipple was hooked up directly to the third picture. (Boost Sensor...?)

I used a block off plate:

And capped all the other hard vacuum lines in the area, *which some might of been hooked up as well...??*

The line going to the (Boost sensor...??) Was originally coming off the bottom nipple in the first picture I posted. Being that is now blocked off I "T'ed" into this line below:

Now I can't get my idle smooth @ 800 like I had prior....???

Maybe I'm just setting the idle wrong...???

Do you think I'd have to go in and adjust the TPS again...??
I've only been playing w the Throttle stop screw and variable resistor & I can't get it smooth and below 1K.

I back to hating this car. The hours devoted to detective work on the forums far out weighs the joy of driving. Please HELP.

Variable resistor, don't touch it. Although too late now. Did you silicone those plates? Doesn't look like it. And now with those plates you could drill and tap for barbed fittings and run new lines for boost sensor and bypass valve instead of teeing into each other.

Edit: also prepare for the "no way, it ran ok, you took that out and now it doesnt" responses lol might as well put it back

Thanks for your input Barkz...!! I really appreciate it. I was at my ends wits last time around w my idle issue and it wound up actually being the variable resistor that smoothed out the hunting and got me @ a steady 800.

I was thinking the same thing in regards to nippeling the block off plate in the same location during my ride home from work last night.

Is that thing I removed called the ACV...? I would like to search more into it being I believe more then one vacuum line that I now have capped might of been hooked up to it.

I'll ask again, are those plates sealed? Vacuum leak if not

+1 vacuum leak. Spray starter fluid around the engine and see if the idle changes.

So idle is NOT something you get w out patience.

Throttle stop screw +, plus variable resistor & patience young grasshopper.

Although cold start is non existent. Maybe bc it's 65* here.

Started & she stalled once. Started again and she bounced really low (200rpm) caught and stayed @ 800 since.

As I type this (10 min idle time) I hear the sign of a slight stutter and then smooth out again. (She could use a tune-up)

I'm happy w that as long as it drives ok, fingers crossed.

EDIT: I jumped the gun as usual w this pos. Re-startup is GARBAGE. Cold start is non-existent. Shake stutter and stall stall stall.

Edit Edit: I shouldn't call her a pos. Driving she is BEAUTIFUL. Quiet, FAST.
