Idle is a little jumpy (literally)

Idle is a little jumpy (literally)

on start up or really whenever usually on start up tho i let the car do its warm up not at 3k tho at around 1.5k let it warm up till my EGT gauge reads about 300 then if i let the car idle itlle jump from 900 to 1300 and sit there jumping any idea?? car got back from lopez racing not to long ago was 100% perfect when it came out had the car sitting for about a month now (clutch went out) went today cause i know its bad that cars sit so its been doing it for a while but no idea what i can be only thing that pops into my head is maybe TPS needs to be adjusted?

If your talking about jumping r.p.m.'s when you start it (like in the morning) Thats perfectly normal. MY car goes to 3k sometimes and idels regular. Then it jumps for alittle bit. As for your TPS, if it jumps...like its bogged when your driving, then yes it is your TPS. Thats what happend with mine (the bogging) so found out that i didn't have one!

no vac leaks only got about 3 or 4 vac line and there all in, i have a bunch of grounds on the car only thing im thinking of is TPS

Vac leaks don't always occur at the lines, man...The really nasty ones are located at the component mating surfaces, i.e. UIM to LIM...

there all new gasket rebuilt motor with about 8k miles on it maybe 9k by now
