Idle 900rpm's...Vacumn under 10 inches...WTF
Ok so I think I blew my motor. I had a problem the other day when my map sensor hose popped off and had me scared to death..
Now I was going to work and kicked it in 1st and 2nd then chilled. When I came to a stop the car was idleing funny...Stuttering and bogging down...Like I said my gauge was reading 900rpms and under 10 inches of vacumn...
So is it blown?
What to check to make sure?
How long can I drive it like that?
And who wants to help me do a motor swap if it is blown?
Comments and suggestions needed...
Thanks
Neal

if your car is still idling at 900rpms.. I think you have enough compression.. so its not blown. Prehaps your tps is not adjusted.
You can always get a compression check to find out if its blown.
No power in lower rpms? Sounds like every rotary powered car... you won't start to feel power till about 3k.

Sounds like it's blown to me. My car would idle at 900 rpm, but be a real slug until about 3 or 4000 rpm, then take off like a bat out of hell. Pulled the motor and it had a bad seal on the front rotor.
Good luck,
Manolis

Found out it is not blown....good right...
But it does have low compression on the front rotor...
BUMMER!
But is is also coming out maybe next week to get a full rebuild...lucky me...
Once that is done then time for t04 upgrade and fmic..
I need speed...
