Idle @ 1500 ?!?!?!

Is my car 87-7 need to idle at 1500 rpm's with no air or heater running?

no, it should be around 750ish... check for a vacuum leak somewhere

or maybe your idle control is turned up? but most possibly a vacuum leak Just make sure the little rubber tubbies are were they are supposed to be.

yeah, the throttle cable might not be letting the throttle ease down all the way after you give it a rev.

check your thermo wax on the back of the throttle body... somtimes it can stick and cause a high idle.
