Idiot Lights
Idiot Lights
Took apart the idiot lights module and logicon today....
was wondering if anyone knew the specs on those little light bulbs inside that powers the logicon illumination and the idiot lights...
i have 2 burnt out on my logicon and i can't seem to find replacements for them...
so anyone have any idea what the wattage... voltage ratings etc are on those little bulbs...
they are attached on with grey plastic/rubbery holders that will screw on to the PCB board.

fc3org.com: I've checked the FSm, doesn't say what bulbs those little ones are... it only tells you how to test the logicon... which is working fine... except the stupid burnt out bulbs...
Sniper X: Do u remember what the bulbs are exactly? There's no Advance Auto in Canada... so i have to look else where to get them.... some specs on the bulbs would be greatly apprciated.

the number should be visible on the bulbs at least a little bit.
Otherwise, we knoe several things about them
they are 12volts
small
two contact.
and have a specific shape.
Look at the sylvania site to get the right bulb.
I suggest a trip with a sample to the local auto parts store.
finding them wont be hard.
Remember the sylvania site is a good one to look at, once youhave the number, you can search the internet for that # and see all the retailers for it.

I've had a similar problem with my 87TII. I know someone simply removed the clear cover from an 88 cluster and put the cover from his 87TII on so it would fit in his car. Can the same be done with an S5 cluster? The 88's and the S5's are so more asthetically pleasing.
