Identify these injectors

I need a hand with basic color identification on injectors. I could have sworn mine were red topped and oval...definitely high impedence as I checked them for resistance. Last night I swore they were red tops and from the 2nd Gen FAQ info that they are N/A 460cc. I spent this morning comparing pics of other OEM injectors to determine if mine were red or purple. If anyone with more experience with OEM injectors could chime in it would be greatly appreciated.

The last pic is my injector. They all match and at first I thought that was red...but after seeing some pics of other OEM ones...well now they look more purple. I'd simply pull the UIM and pull an injector and get a part #, but the car is a DD.

Any help would be appreciated

There's injector info in the FAQ or specs threads. I know some of the NA's also had red topped injectors. Apparently the best way to tell is by the configuration of the electrical plug and to just ignore the color, as some can fade and not all injector manufacturers use the same color coding.

I'm almost positive my plugs were oval. I checked resistance on them and they are definitely high impedence. This weekend I'll pull the UIM again and get a better look at them.

I first checked the 2nd Gen FAQ sticky and found this

What size injectors does my RX-7 use? What colour are they?
Year Engine Plug Size Colour Part #
84-85 13B NA, low square center, 680cc, orange, 195500-0900
86-87 13B NA, low square center, 460cc, red, 195500-1350
86-87 13B Turbo, low square center, 550cc, tan, 195500-1370
88 13B NA, high square offset, 460cc, purple, 195500-1350
88 13B Turbo, high square offset, 550cc, purple, 195500-1370
89-91 13B NA, high oval center, 460cc, red, 195500-2010
89-91 13B Turbo, high oval center, 550cc, purple, 195500-2020

From memory I swore my tops were red, but after seeing some others they look more purple. Looks like fading is an issue. I'll pull one this weekend and get the part # off it.

As background it's a S5 JDM 13Bswapped into an 89 vert. So far as I know the injectors are the ones that came with the engine. BUT I've had reason to doubt the quality of work of the tech who did my swap. So, I'm combining learning about my car with going over the work that's been done to make sure I don't find anything that...um....needs "attention"

The "purple" injectors tend to look much more maroon than that. Those look to be "red".

Adding to this an ancient thread - which I just found yesterday while trying to identify injectors I bought many years ago. After seeing the part numbers that JustJeff posted in 2008, I decided to take a close look at the injectors using a 5x lens. Turns out that the part numbers are molded into the flat on the plastic at 90 degrees from the connector. No need to rely on the connector type or guess the color.
