I really need some help on this one...

Alright...

Ive had nothing but problems with my new fc. Now to add to the list, it wont go into gear. This weekend, we pulled the tranny off, and the pilot bearing was reduced to dust. so, i replaced that and my throw-out. To no avial, still wont go into gear.... now, it goes into gear with the engine off, and when i start it in gear it jumps forward, but i cant put it into gear while running, like the clutch wasnt dissengaging...any ideas? ive replaced the slave, the master...im not sure what else to do...im about ready to part it out.

how is the pedal pressure?

did you try adjusting the piston that goes into the clutch master?

adjust the locknut on the piston that goes into the clutch master cylinder and move it back, making the piston go INTO the master cylinder more.

Make sure you have plenty of fluid, did you check your clutch and see if it needed to be changed when you were replacing the thow out?

Did you bother to bleed the slave cylinder? If you did then it might be a bad master or slave cylinder. Just have someone watch the slave cylinder while you push on the pedal. If it doesn't extend then you know one of them has got to be bad.

did you put the clutch disc in backwards?

remember the flat side faces the flywheel.

I would suggest starting with the smaller things, like checking from the pedal to the clutch. Look over the system like Erix said if it dosn't extend its bad. It would suck if you pull your tranny and all that was messed up was your slave and they are not that much.

Check the clutch lines for bulges, deterioration, and such. A worn clutch line doesn't hold pressure well, and thus, a soft, and hard to disengage clutch.

If this isn't it, it's still a clutch problem.

Ok...well...

I have replaced the slave 3 times...the first two, i bought from the forums, one didnt work, the other, went out after 3 days, finally bought a new one, and have bled it fully. I have replaced the Master, 3 times as well...all of them were used, and all of them had no effect on the situation. The pilot bearing was toast, replaced that as well...

My question is, which slave is which, the one i have the car now, is the one with the bracket twoards the middle of the housing...i've had a ******* bitch of a time trying to get one that works. I bought the tociko one and it was different than the one on the car and i couldnt get it in.

I am so fed up with this car i feel like tearing my hair out.

Also an update...

My bro suggested trying to line lock it, so we did...and I can adjust the master rod, so that i can get the clutch to disengage fully (so it will start in gear with the clutch in without jumping)...BUT, when we do it like this, the clutch wont full engage again, so its constantly slipping...

Hey man, that happened the same with my friend. His car doesnt go into 1st and barley second. Now his clutch doesnt grip either haha. You can hear him reving, sounds like hes going like 60mph, but really only 10 and cant make it up a hill.

My suggestion. Scrap the tranny, get a different one from someone off the forums thats not gonna Bs you.
