Why do you need torque in first? It's already practically useless. Whats the point? The only thing you should be using first for is to get rolling anyways..

And 2nd...why?

I see you are a "drifter." Real (D1) drifters do it in high 2nd-high 3rd..so..again I ask, why?

Signatures are to be no larger then 460 x 200 pixels, and a maximum of 20K in size.
1. Custom signatures are enabled, but any graphics used in such signatures are limited to 460 pixels horizontally, 200 pixels vertically, and a 20K file size.

2. Signatures are limited to six lines of regular text, including blank lines, or the equivalent size in picture, or picture/text combination.

3. There is currently no system to automatically check for signature size limits, so Admins and Moderators will be checking manually. Should your sig be found in violation, you will be asked to fix it; if you don't comply, it may be removed without warning. It is your responsibility to edit your sig and bring it within compliance. Multiple constant offenses will result in more severe action, which may include a ban.

high rpms on the stock powerplant will give you the peak HP and peak TQ numbers for the rx7.

other than that, rear end swap, or V8 swap

Why do you need more torque in 1st and 2nd? any specific reason? Do you mean you need more power? Acceleration is a function of horsepower, not torque; torque is only a means of creating power (and so is RPM, as denoted by the equation hp=torque*rpm/5252). Why only in these gears?

Bacially I just want a better throttle responce with a harder push in 1st and 2ed...I know its prob related to boost lag...but is there any to counter that?? What can I do to my gears? And about my sig...y the hell do we have to have SMALL *** PICS AND AVATARS too freakin small just a lil bigger comon !!!

Well, if you want better throttle response get a lightweight flywheel.

Stock S4 makes peak torque at 3500 rpm and peak horsepower at 6500 rpm. If you think 3500 rpm is high, go drive a Honda.

little incorrect there. torque is what moves the car. torque is what accelerates the car.
two cars that are identical just one is putting out 300lbs/ft from 2000-4000rpms is going to move just as fast as a car putting out 300lbs/ft from 4000-6000rpms. only thing that would be different is the car that puts out the torque at higher rpms could use a numericly higher gear to increase torque output at the wheels through torque multiplication.

i was looking for close to the same thing, but i was looking for a bit more low end torque. i cant downshift to first like most fc drivers, so if i want to drift a low speed corner, i have a hard time getting the back end out in 2nd. i have no e-brake either. as for his question, V8 swap is the way to go.

I think he was trying to comment on hondas having a smaller rmp range than RX7's

my hondas torque curve is fairly flat all the way up to the redline of 5750 rpms. it's actually easier and more forgiving to drive at lower rpms without needing to downshift then my rx7 is by far

my honda redlines at a little over 6k and has a pretty good feel at about 2750 or 3k rpms. i have a catback and a cold air intake in it. but, my rx-7 is better.

my rx7 by far is better also. the honda is SLOW as hell. but I'm kinda driving a different breed of honda then what most are used to. if you get bored one day look up the engine code EF1 for the honda accord and you might see what I mean. the mighty 1.6L motor.
