i need help please

i have a 1987 mazda turbo II and i have a vacuum leak so my car does not idle any more. and i dont know where its coming from but i have a guess that it is 3 lines that i switched around when i put on the intake manifold. can somebody tell me witch order they go in?

my battery is alwase dying on me overnight, i was told on here that i have a electrical short, then i was told by the previous owner that it was in the security system. so i want to remove it completly now and put a aftermarket one in can somebody help on that?

my headlights are giving me problems too. the previous owner made the headlights shine straight through the FTP lights. the lights are coming on and off but its not going up and down. how do i make it go up and down?

and umm i just got a turbosmart boost controler and i dont know how to instal it. cane somebody tell me step by step how to instal a boost controler?

any help will be gratly appreciated.

look at your relay box just beside the battery. there are 2 fuses that are lettered "retractor'' they are either disconnected or your switch is bad wich is very common on the second gens. If you want to manually raise your lids you have to reach under the front lip and turn the dials on each headlight. you should still have the rubber covers that aer on the ***** so just look for them. very easy.

if the switch is bad, would it cause my headlights to make a humming sound when the car is off?

is that why my battery keeps on dieing?

you might check out the thread at the top that says read this before posting..
And if the headlights don't come up when you flip the switch, chances are either the motors are dead or unplugged.
As for discharging batteries overnight, that could be a lot of things Does the security light come on when you lock the doors? Leave it with the security off one night and see how that works for you.

did you try the cleaner switch to raise them???

You need to go read the owners manual

and a security system (stock or aftermarket) will not drain down the battery overnight unless the system is going off (and you would hear and see that).

wheres the cleaner switch?

i dont have a owners manual but i do have a haynes book.

i was thinking that too but i could not find the horn for my security system.(but i was not really looking for one) so i thought it would just disable the ignition for the car, and i let that slip my mind becuase i never had a rx7 before. and if its not my security system, what is draining out my battery?

i will post some pics of engine bay as soon as i figure out how.

here are the pics...

all the pics was shot when i got the car on november 1. (except for the one from last night). nothing has changed since then except for a newer air filter and a new battery.

the picture in the night is to show how much the headlights move.

hope fully this will give a better idea of what me and my car is going through.

for your starting problem i would be willing to bet your TID is cracked. pull the hose from the AFM to the turbo off and inspect it and i bet you have a crack where it meets the turbo, very common problem and causes many starting and idle issues.

poor little S4...all cold and salty.....

when you try and raise the headlights (by either the headlamp switch or the cleaner switch {I believe the cleaner switch Icemark is talking about is the over top of the headlamp switch, it only raises/lowers the lights...doesn't turn them on...}) do you hear any whirring sounds that a motor TRYING to raise them would make?

uh... 5 degrees F is below freezzing...

if any water has gotten down there (like if the temp got up to hmm say 33 degrees F and the ice melted and then re-froze) the headlights would be stuck down and acting just like you are describing.

ah.. I should have guessed...

Okay then reach down and unplug them, then manually run them up with the raise ****. You need to unplug the motors or pull the retractor fuse first.

that did not work. im starting to lose hope in my car

does the headlights have to move up and down in order to pass the safety test? becuase they are lighting up throw the FTP lense, and it shines straight on the wall of my garage.

well my dads mechanic came to my house yesterday and he said i did not have a vacuum line leak and it could be possible that the aftermarket 450cc venom fuel injectors are mal-functioning or something with my fuel delivery system. the throttle body and parts near there looks a bit shaky to me. so could it be possible i have too much air going into my engine?

You can not remove the retractor fuse, and use the manual ***** to raise the headlights???

450cc injectors are too small for a Turbo

Sure you don't mean 550???
