Allright, so today was a nice day outside, took some time to wash and wax my car, cleaned the interior, ect..ect.. Than i decided to get bored and :start idiot mode:
Took off my throttle body.. to tell you guys the truth, i just wanted to remove my secondary throttle plates and clean some of the dirt off of it
well, i didnt get the chance to remove the secondary throttle plates, the screws are really on there, so i cleaned the outside of the TB up, and put it back on.. no brain science, just reconnect everything back the way it was.. easy
Now i started the car after i got everything back together, checked for coolant leaks from around the throttle body and took her for a drive, everything seemed fine.. but i noticed the throttle doesnt want to go back down under 2000 rpms
So main problem? took TB off, changed nothing... put TB back on, and now she wont idle under 2000 rpms.. it wont even drop below 2000 rpms, and it's bothering me.
thanks guys

Check to see that your throttle cables are adjusted properly, and not pulled tight. Re-set TPS. If you were screwing around with the throttle plates, are you sure you didnt bend them so they dont close?
make sure all 4 nuts are on there tight. i know when we were adjusting my idle, if the nuts weren't all on, than the idle was rediculously high. dumb mistake, but learned from it. and no harm was done. it was just air getting into the engine that wasn't registered by the afm.

i didnt touch the plates nearest the dynamic chamber.. when i had the TB off the car i only tried real hard to get the secondary plates off with no luck.. i really have no idea what is causeing my idle hold up.. but it can't/wont go below 2000 rpms..

Do you have cruise control, if you do you could have easily messed with the nut that adjusts the CC cable tention, and it would cause it to idle high. Just to check on all the throttle cables pinch them with your fingers, and there should be a little slack in both of them (A LITTLE)

Well, just got back from checking the throttle... i removed the cruise control a while back, so that can't be the prob.. the cable has alittle slack in it.. and i mean alittle.. it doesnt seem to be holding up
here's a stupid question.. if the secondary's are binding.. will IT cause high idle? what exactly do those plates do anyways?
