I like my six puck clutch

Today, I was coming home, and I was stopped at a light. I was first in line, so I figured, what the hell, might as well do a nice burn away from the light. So I revved the engine up to prcisely 5200rpms, and then I let the clutch go. I was too much of a wuss to straight out drop it, but I let it go fast enough to jettison everything in my hatch to the very back and lay down about 30 feet of rubber. I didn't have a bit of traction until about 30 mph, and I hit every gear at 7k rpm to the end of third gear, then I shut it down. My 6PI hasn't been working properly, so I never saw 8k rpm. Gonna have to work on that.

I didn't get any wheelhop oddly enough. The takeoff was rather smooth, just a lot of wheelspin.......just right it felt to me. God I love driving a 5 speed! I can't believe I actually used to like driving an automatic sometimes.

It's on order right now. The clutch master and slave cylinders are brand new, so that's not a concern.

Do you have the 1700 rpm idle on purpose, or did it just end up that way? Mine had a 1700rpm idle for a while too, but then I tuned it out last night. I had such an extreme idle because my automatic needed the idle set screw tuned all the way out just to hit 700rpm at idle. After the swap, bam! It just shot up.
