An older friend of mine races a 1990 N/A in the SCCA and his class restricts turbo's and nitrous, along with many other things. It would be my dream to race in his class, where its driving over max speed. With his RX-7 thats N/A with a racing ported 13B and no emissions, he has one the semi-famous all nighter 7 times. If you want just dyno sheets, buy a rx-7 with a super or turbo charged 87 buick grand national engine in it. I almost made that mistake, but i found that autocross style is a lot more fun.

Yo,

Now now Jason, yes, a Renesis powered FD would be slower than the twin turbo set up. But guess what? You actually get to /drive/ your FD! On the weekends, during the week, rain or shine. Go to the thread where people post their FD reliability jokes. It looks like most FDs are in the shop, in the owner's garage, pretty much everywhere except on the street being driven. I'll take a slower car and drive 100% of the time than a fast car that I can only drive 50% of the time.

Kinda what I was thinking. I'm really considering daily driving my TII while a build a new engine... a 20B, using FD rotor housing, and around $5000 worth of RB aluminum side housings, dowel pinned, and fittied with a bearing in the front intermediate housing, using a custom forged steel 3 piece eshaft, RB race rotors, and a custom intake manifold, with 3 stage direct port injection.
May take another summer to get enough money for a turbo, exhaust, transmission, ems... But god it would be worth the weight. A 20B that weighs less than a stock 13B....

That is the ultimate set-up...
What do you guys think?

hmmm a 20 b that weights less than a stock 13b can't say i'd complain the only thing is i'd still go with the fc instead of the fd for it fc = more of a sleeper. fd people already think it's kinda fast nobody ever thinks an fc will work em' or you could put that in an fb if you don't mind the cramped ness.

edit: i can't believe you never thought of a 20b project!
