I have a leak from my speedometer cable...

Just like the title says, i have oil coming out of the speedometer cable. I took out my gauge cluster the other day and there was a little puddle of oil right under the cluster. i'm guessing its transmission fluid since it smelled kind of bad. but does anyone how i can stop this?

the speedo drive seal fails, and then oil can wick up the cable and leak under the dash.

you need the seal on the speedo drive and the o ring

mazda pn# 99586-08166 and 1011-17-443

its a rotory... oil could leak from the tires if it really wanted too. hahaha

i had that problem of the oil coming out the other end of the spedo cable and dripping all over my puma,s
