I think you should buy a used RB header, they usually go for about 100 bucks to 150 used depending on condition and are well worth the price

just by a new one. there are many brands out there
does the steel racing beat uses differ from the steel any body else might use. maybe so maybe not. i wouldn't
make one though it would be of much easier and probably much better to jsut buy one new.

I have a header on my 88 gxl and it a a great upgrade.

does any one know how much power a Pre-silencer will give you. or should i just keep the stock cat on for the back presure needed for the aux ports to open.

The AUX ports needing backpressure can be circumvented.

If you get a header, replace the cat-back while you're down there.

The problem with making your own is that you don't know the proper length and where to bend the pipes to get the most power. RB has thousands of dollars of R&D into 'tuning' the pipes for maximum horsepower.

My whole exhaust is custom and the header is custom to the middle of the car then the two pipes to the rear. The custom header is deff. louder then the RB header and mine's was made with perfect length because it look similar to the length of the RB. The main downfall is mine doesn't have a o2 sensor bunge yet, but im sellin my car , so the person who buys it will get the whole exhaust system.

they are al right its a hassle, you get a lot more
power, oh out the header in my opinion, some
say you get jsut a much by useing a downpipe,
but i like the header option. i would add on a
highflo cat as well. lates matt22
