Angry I hate the vert windows.

What ever retarted japanese engineer decided that the Vert powered windows should be cable driven needs to be dragged out in the street and shot! I can't repair them! No matter what i try i can't get it to work! Either the cable breaks or it eats up the spindle the cables are suppose to wrap around. Think about it! Steel cables, and a plastic spindle, if something goes wrong who's going to win?

Ok, now i feel better.

I called the dealership today, they want $468 for a new one...i'll probably end up buying it. My dad says he can fix it so i'm going to take it to him eventually and see what he thinks.

Most people just go get a bycycle shifter cable and use that to replace the Mazda cable when the factory system fails.

And quite a few manuactures use that very common cable design... Toyota/Lexus, Ferrari, Etc.

Is it true that the vert power window regulators weigh less than the normal power windows. I remember reading that somewhere.

Yeah, the vert power window regulators and motor assembly are lighter than even the crank windows.

Not that i don't agree...well i don't. I have both a Coupe standard window regulator and my vert regulator and can tell you that the coupe one is bar far lighter. It has less material on it and doesn't have the motor. If i had a scale i would weight them and take pics but i don't. If i get around to it i'll just a picture of them side b side so you can compare.

And i tried the bicycle thing but couldn't get it to work. The spindle was too chewed up to keep the cables in place, they just wrap around each other...It's possible that i'm just doing it wrong but I'm frustrated so give me a break!

If I were you, I'd ask a friend for help It helps ease the frustration.

LoL, those wheels were on the car when i bought it. I have no idea how they got there, but i like them!

Oh and i completely destroyed one of the spring tension things so there's no way i can fix the window regulator now...
